Not long after his first Broadway experience, Bob got a promotion at work and his new position
included moving to Greensboro. Although he was hesitant at first to leave his beloved New York City,
Bob quickly discovered the warm southern hospitality of Greensboro made him feel right at home.
Every March he would get caught up in the fever of "Tournament Town" and watch all
the college basketball action at the Coliseum. In fact, it was after an ACC Tournament game that Bob realized
War Memorial Auditorium hosted Broadway shows right here in his new hometown.

Bob still goes back to New York City from time to time to visit family and friends. But he hasn't been back to see a show on Broadway. When his friend from NYU asked why not, Bob replied that he can see Broadway shows all year long...in Greensboro. His friend just laughed and said "I think we may need a new nickname for you. How does 'GREENSBORO BOB' sound?" |
